When it Rains it Pours
So happy to wake up this morning to a balmy, rainy day. Perfect for my new Hunter rain boots and a huge cup of tea. Now if only the weather could start to resemble fall, I'd be a very happy camper.

Northern Lights
Still have a lot to do in order to prep for Alaska which is mildly stressful, but I just found out that Aurora Borealis might make an appearance on August 24th. Fingers crossed!!

Anthropologie is opening it's own accessories store??
Rumor has it that Urban, Inc. will be opening 35 stores across the country in 2011 that cater exclusively to the accessorizing needs of Americans. Huzzah!
Best part about all of this is that the 'test store' will be opening in Bethesda, MD - a hop, skip and a jump from my own backyard. Though exact opening date/location is TBD, I'm already marking my calendar and counting down the days months. I have high hopes for this place.

The Most Important Meal of the Day
I confess that breakfast isn't one of my favorite meals of the day - dinner takes the cake - and often times my breakfast consists of whatever I'm able to eat as I run to the metro in the a.m.
But whenever I'm in Kill Devil Hills, breakfast reigns supreme as the infamous "Baco" (courtesy of Ashley) is always on the menu.
It's got two of my favorite ingredients - hot sauce and cheese - topped with a fried egg, tomato and a few slices of crispy bacon. Watch out dinner...

What's Your Number?
This is pretty nuts – a new grassroots movement that leaves people whittling down their personal belongings to a mere 100 “must-have” items. It really makes you think about what you can and can't live without.
While I think eliminating all but 100 things seems a bit excessive - - does a pair of shoes count as one or two items? - - I like the idea of getting rid of all the clutter that's building up in my apartment.
So, I spent the majority of my rainy Sunday sorting through all of my closets and drawers, finding all the clothes that I hope I'll one day fit into again and the other stuff that likely should never have been purchased to begin with.
It wasn't easy, but four full boxes later, my number has gone down quite a bit. It feels good to know that everything (well most things) that I'm living with are ones that I actually use on a (semi) regular basis. Okay, I'm not quite to 100, but as they say, Rome wasn't built in a day...

Picturesque
I hereby declare 2010 to be the year of the weddings. Luckily, weddings mean friends, family, good food and happily, good destinations.
I've always wanted to go to Rhode Island, so I was quite excited for last weekend's wedding in Newport. Perfect weather and a picturesque town made it the most beautiful wedding. I couldn't stop taking pictures.
